Jobi Pottery - Large Traditional Blue Mug
Hand-painted ceramic mug, 4 3/4” x 3 3/4” x 4 1/2”
Due to the hand painted nature of Jobi Pottery, please expect some variation in the pattern and appearance of each piece.
Jobi Pottery is a Cape Cod cottage industry that was started in 1953 by Joe Colliano and Bill Hastings (Jo-bi). Today, Jobi Pottery’s current owner and designer Susan Kurtzman still uses the original mid-century casting molds to create the ceramics in her Truro studio.
Every piece is handmade and hand-painted using the same methods the Jobis created. The retro look of their shapes can be traced back to Jobi’s original owners, but Kurtzman has added new designs and colors to contemporize the pottery. Jobi Pottery is committed to local handmade production; each piece is created on the premises, painted freehand and fired in their pottery barn. Jobi Pottery is proud to be a woman-owned business.
